The Undergradaute Certificate in Urban & Community Forestry will embolden students to critically examine the role of green infrastructure in the sustainability and health of the built environment.

About the Urban & Community Forestry Certificate

As the global trend of urbanization continues, human interactions with natural resources and the environment will increasingly be shaped by the greenspaces nearest to where we live and work. The Undergraduate Certificate in Urban and Community Forestry will embolden students to critically examine the role of green infrastructure in the sustainability and health of the built environment. Modular in structure, one goal of this certificate is to draw students from a diversity of majors into a pre-defined pathway that will enhance their major coursework, providing a suite of urban and community forestry skills that students will carry forward as they move into their professional careers.
